AceShowbiz - Paris Hilton opened up about welcoming her second child, a baby girl named London. During her appearance on "Today", the reality TV star and socialite revealed that fans weren't the only ones who were surprised when she announced the arrival of her newborn baby.
She told co-anchors Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush that she and husband Carter Reum kept the news that they were expecting a second child together a secret from the rest of her family members until Thanksgiving. "The only people who knew were, obviously, Carter, and my mom [Kathy Hilton] and my sister [Nicki Hilton]," she said. "My parents did not know when it was happening but knew it was going to happen."
Of her daughter, Paris gushed, "She's just a little angel, and my life feels so complete with my little boy and baby girl. We're just over the moon." She went on to say, "I'm loving my mom era. And I just feel like just so at peace, just so happy, just so grateful for my husband and my beautiful family, and life that we're building together."
The "Paris in Love" star also talked about how her son Phoenix, who is only 10 months, reacted to being a big brother. "He's so gentle and sweet. He'll put his hand out and kind of rub her arm or her face. It's so cute," she explained.
Later on "Live with Kelly and Mark", Paris further shared how the surprise revelation took place before Thanksgiving dinner. "My Thanksgiving was amazing. Of course, that's when I surprised the whole family with London," the 42-year-old blonde beauty recalled in the Monday, November 27 episode.
She told co-hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos that she and Carter ushered their families into the living room "around 5 o'clock," telling them they had "a surprise." She said, "Everyone thought a magician was coming. Like, we have a performer coming in. So everyone's all excited."
"Then, I [walked] in just holding like a pink blanket with a baby, and everybody was sitting there like, 'What?!' " the "Stars Are Blind" singer continued. "Everyone was just - they couldn't believe it. It was the best Thanksgiving I've ever had in my life."
Paris made the surprise baby No. 2 announcement on social media on Thursday, November 24. She posted on her Instagram account a picture of an adorable pink baby outfit that had the name "London" on it. "Thankful for my baby girl," the hotel heiress wrote in the caption.
