#amberheardisapsychopath is trending on the micro-blogging site as fans defend the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor after the 'Aquaman' actress testifies about being abused by him.

AceShowbiz - Twitter is taking side amid the ongoing defamation trial that pits Johnny Depp against Amber Heard. After the actress took the stand in a Virginia courtroom and described how she was abused by her then-husband, #amberheardisapsychopath became trending on the micro-blogging site as fans of the "Alice in Wonderland" star defended him.

Tweeting with the hashtag, one person weighed in on the trial, "I'm thankful Johnny Depp is even still alive at all. Amber Heard is one of the scariest women I've ever seen. This is her in between her 'trauma' 'monologues'," along with a photo of the "Aquaman" star at the trial.

Another re-posted audio recording of a conversation between the former spouses and commented, "OH My God!! is this how you talk to your abuser? she is talking without fear!! she is even taunting him??!! and some people still believe she is the Victim?? Amber is obviously trying hard to be a victim!!"

A third person argued, "I do not understand how anyone can #IStandWithAmberHeard when all these tapes exist, and they show exactly how abusive she is!" Someone else shared, "There was a time when I used to believe Amber. But if you still believe her after watching the trial proceed, her testimony, the damning culpable evidence against Amber, then YOU SERIOUSLY NEED HELP."

"This chick should be a fighter," a fifth user claimed. "She has 100% get up ratio after being hit, sucker punched, head-butt directly to the nose(instant nose break for some one normal), on top of all of the other alleged events. She's also a very bad actress(trial based op)."

Someone else went as far as suggesting that Amber should be held in a mental facility as writing, "@realamberheard How you've managed to keep yourself from being locked away in a mental facility for so long is beyond me."

During the trial that has lasted for over three weeks, Johnny denied he ever struck Amber or any women. He additionally claimed that he was the one abused by his ex-wife. The "Drive Angry" star, meanwhile, claimed that she was sexually abused by the 58-year-old actor and that he tried to impede her career.
