'Alice in Wonderland' Releases First Poster
November 10, 2009 11:11:48Walt Disney Pictures has unleashed the first poster for "Alice in Wonderland". Posted on the Facebook fanpage of the Mad Hatter on Monday, November 9, the new image is much the same with a scanned photo from an AMC Theaters promotional magazine that has come out the day before.
The official poster features the White Queen, the Red Queen as well as Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Along with the poster, there is a statement which mentions that there will be two more theatrical banners for the film. "I have three treasures for my subjects, but what kind of leader would I be if I gave them to you all at once? Here's the first - a morsel to appease," so read the message on the facebook page.

A Look at 'Alice in Wonderland' Characters Found
November 09, 2009 10:11:13A group shot of characters in the much awaited "Alice in Wonderland" has been unveiled. Slash Film pointed out that DeviantArt has scanned the photo from an unnamed magazine, which gives first look at Alan Rickman's Caterpillar. Other previously-exposed characters, like Alice, the Mad Hatter, the White Queen and the Red Queen, are also spotted.
Earlier, the Facebook fanpage of the Mad Hatter has promised to bring out an exclusive content to the animation movie. "My, my! Look how my army has grown! We've certainly done our part to win this madness," the message read. "As part of MY army you'll be the first to see exclusive content from Alice in Wonderland- but you can't be late or you'll miss out so stay tuned!"

Official Teaser Trailer for 'Alice in Wonderland' Arrives
July 24, 2009 10:07:45Just hours after the first teaser trailer for the much awaited "Alice in Wonderland" leaked out, Walt Disney Pictures has come out with the official version of the promotional video. This teaser, which is reportedly slightly different from the Comic Con version, re-introduces the Mad Hatter character portrayed by Johnny Depp and gives a look at the other characters, including Mia Wasikowska's Alice and Stephen Fry's the Cheshire Cat.
As for Disney's presentation of the movie at San Diego Comic Con 2009, the panel held on Thursday, July 23, was made merry with a surprise appearance by Depp after the screening of the film's custom-made trailer. Introduced by director Tim Burton, the actor walked onstage in a button-up shirt and fitted black vest. However, he said nothing but, "Hey. Happy to be here."

July 22, 2009 10:07:55Beside debuting first footage of "Alice in Wonderland" at San Diego Comic Con 2009, Walt Disney Pictures has made plans to premiere the teaser trailer of Tim Burton-directed feature film on Facebook on Thursday, July 23. Sending out information for the teaser, the mouse house reveals that Facebook members have to choose a side first to get a chance to see the exclusive new trailer.
"The Loyal Subjects of the Red Queen, the Loyal Subjects of the White Queen, and the Disloyal Subjects of the Mad Hatter are all building armies on Facebook," so read the Disney's announcement. "The fan page with the biggest army at 4 P.M. PDT on Thursday, July 23 will get to see an exclusive new trailer from Disney's ALICE IN WONDERLAND before anyone else. So be sure to log onto Facebook and choose a side."

Comic Con 2009 Footage of 'Alice in Wonderland' a Semi-Trailer
July 18, 2009 10:07:08During forthcoming "Alice in Wonderland" presentation at San Diego Comic Con 2009, director Tim Burton will present a footage from the 3-D re-imagining project in the form of a "semi-trailer". Revealing the matter to MTV News, the Golden Globe-winning helmer spilled, "[It's] a kind of a semi-trailer. It's where we're at at the moment. There's not a lot of footage to show."
The man behind "Sweeney Todd" further explained the reason why he is only able to show the semi-trailer. "It's a strange process we're dealing with," he shared. "We're using a mix of techniques. If you picked them apart, each technique has been done before. We're mixing them up, in a way. I wish we had more footage to show. It's a real mysterious puzzle that's frightening and exciting at the same time."

New The White Queen Pic From 'Alice in Wonderland'

Coming out via Empire Online, the brand new picture presents another shot of Anne Hathaway as Alice's ally in the magical world. While previous photo only provides the character's head shot, this new picture let out The White Queen with what seems to be Dormouse.
On the character itself, The White Queen actually doesn't appear in Lewis Carroll's original "Alice in Wonderland" book. She comes out as a chess piece in its sequel called "Through The Looking Glass". The character has been described to be a little odd because she seems to live her life backwards, screaming before she is injured for one thing.

Each presenting Mia Wasikowska's Alice, Johnny Depp's The Mad Hatter and Helena Bonham Carter's The Red Queen, the photos came out in the latest edition of Vanity Fair and were scanned by Planet Disney. This is the first time the main character Alice is seen up close.
For this 3-D re-imagining of the original animated classic, director Tim Burton gives a unique twist making it a semi-sequel. The story centers on the now-17-year-old Alice. Attending a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types, she runs after a white rabbit into a hole and ends up transferred once again to Wonderland. Still, she has no recollection of this place she visited 10 years before.

Like some of the earlier-exposed photos, these two also focus on the individual characters in the Tim Burton-directed movie.
While the previous ones saw Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter's the Red Queen and Anne Hathaway's the White Queen, these fresh pictures bring Mia Wasikowska's Alice and Matt Lucas' Tweedledee and Tweedledum up and center. The one with Alice captures the young girl standing near the famous giant tea cup.

Three of the pictures expose up close three of the film's important characters, while the other three give away captures of some scenes in this 3-D part live-action, part computer animated movie.
One of the images lets out the capture of Egg-shaped Tweedledee and Tweedledum taking Alice to meet the Mad Hatter. The two others see the White Rabbit checking his timepiece while Alice takes in the view of the lush garden, and Alice greeting the roses along the entrance to what appears to be a forest of giant mushrooms.

November 18, 2008 09:11:14A possible first look into Johnny Depp's character, Mad Hatter, in "Alice in Wonderland" has been unearthed. Bringing it up to the surface was Depp's fansite, Johnny-Depp.org, which claimed to get the pic from Wicked Wench. In the picture, it can be seen that Depp holds a rabbit close to his chest. He is portrayed with dark eyes, pale face and bandaged left thumb.
Though the fansite claims the image to be the first pic of the Mad Hatter, many doubt whether the image is real since the character will most likely be presented in motion capture. Cinematical, in particular, suggests that it may be a concept art for the character or a painting of the character " that may or may not show up in the background of a scene".

'Alice in Wonderland' Stays Classic Without Losing Its Freshness
October 16, 2008 03:10:44Having "Alice in Wonderland", a new animated feature project, under his sleeves, awards-winning director Tim Burton openly shares his ideas on the Walt Disney movie with Los Angeles Times while chatting about Spike TV's Third Annual Scream Awards "Scream 2008". In re-imagining the flick, he states, "It's a funny project. The story is obviously a classic with iconic images and ideas and thoughts. But with all the movie versions, well, I've just never seen one that really had any impact to me."
"It's always just a series of weird events. Every character is strange and she's just kind of wandering through all of the encounters as just a sort of observer," he explained, further adding what he is aiming for with the film. "The goal is to try to make it an engaging movie where you get some of the psychology and kind of bring a freshness but also keep the classic nature of 'Alice.' And, you know, getting to do it in 3-D fits the material quite well. So I'm excited about making it a new version but also have the elements that people expect when they think of the material."
