AceShowbiz - Retired tennis star Caroline Wozniacki has given birth to a baby girl.
The athlete and her husband, former basketball player David Lee, shared the news of their first child's arrival via Instagram on Monday, June 14, alongside a sweet photo of the trio.
"Family of 3," they each captioned the picture. "Olivia Wozniacki Lee, born on June 11, 2021."
Model-turned-actress Brooklyn Decker, who is married to former tennis ace Andy Roddick, was among the first to offer up her congratulations, writing, "Oh my!! We are so so so happy for you [sic]!"
"Congrats!!! So happy for you!!!" wrote skier Lindsey Vonn, while comedienne Chelsea Handler added, "Congratulations, baby cakes and baby!"
Actress Olivia Munn also shared her joy at the news by commenting with five red heart emojis.
The couple wed in Italy in 2019, when Wozniacki's close friend, tennis ace Serena Williams, served as a bridesmaid.
Wozniacki announced her retirement from professional tennis back in December 2019. At the time, she shared her hope to start a family with her husband David. "I've always told myself, when the time comes, that there are things away from tennis that I want to do more, then it's time to be done," she wrote in an Instagram post.
"In recent months, I've realized that there is a lot more in life that I'd like to accomplish off the court," the former world No. 1 continued. "Getting married to David was one of those goals and starting a family with him while continuing to travel the world and helping raise awareness about rheumatoid arthritis (project upcoming) are all passions of mine moving forward."
