Speaking of the horror project, the Boston Celtics point guard expresses his excitement since he had firsthand experiences at Skirvin Hotel in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

AceShowbiz - Basketball star Kyrie Irving has teamed up with filmmakers Ron Howard and Brian Grazer to work on an upcoming horror movie based on his own experiences.

The Boston Celtics star, who starred in last year's "Uncle Drew" sports comedy, had a terrifying time at the haunted Skirvin Hotel in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and now he's working with the duo's production company to bring the tale of the place to the big screen.

"Having had my own interesting experiences at the Skirvin Hotel, I connected with this idea immediately," the 26-year-old told Variety. "To work with Brian Grazer is a dream come true, and I'm excited to bring this project to life with the Imagine Entertainment team."

He's not the only active basketball star making waves in Hollywood - LeBron James has been on a roll ever since he appeared in Amy Schumer comedy "Trainwreck". He is currently developing a handful of TV and movie projects.
