The 'Dale's Supermarket Sweep' host passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 18, his agent has confirmed.

AceShowbiz - Beloved U.K. TV personality Dale Winton has died, aged 62. The "Dale's Supermarket Sweep" host passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 18, according to his agent Jan Kennedy.

"While we know many will share this terrible loss, we ask that you respect the family's privacy at this time of grief," a statement reads.

Winton also hosted the National Lottery game show "In It to Win It" and he found success on TV again earlier this year as the star of "Dale Winton's Florida Fly Drive".

The final three episodes were pulled following the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. They are scheduled to air in June.

The show was a return to form for the former TV favourite, who revealed in 2016 he had been battling depression after a break-up. "I always thought, 'Get over yourself.' But my mum died of it (depression). It exists and anybody out there who has had it knows it exists. I didn't want to put one foot in front of the other but for a couple of really good friends."

Details surrounding his death have not been released.
