Jorge Lendeborg Jr. is in talks to join Hailee Steinfeld in the upcoming 'Transformers' spin-off that focuses on the fans-favorite Autobot.

AceShowbiz - "Bumblebee" has found its male human hero. According to The Hollywood Reporter, rising star Jorge Lendeborg Jr. is in negotiations to portray the coveted character in the upcoming "Transformers" spin-off.

Lendeborg Jr. is expected to share screen with Hailee Steinfeld who landed the key female role in the movie about the fans-favorite Autobot. Her character is described as "a tomboy who also holds a job as a mechanic after school."

"Kubo and the Two Strings" helmer Travis Knight is hired to direct the feature film due in theaters across the nation on June 8, 2018. It will take place in 1980s as a prequel to the original one and target younger audience.

Jorge Lendeborg Jr. made his feature debut in 2016's "The Land". He's among the supporting cast of "Spider-Man: Homecoming". His next projects include sci-fier "Alita: Battle Angel" and YA film "Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda".
