AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey stepped out with her backup dancer Bryan Tanaka following her split from fiance James Packer on Saturday, October 29. They were joined by Mariah's pal and manager Stella Bulochnikov at celeb hot spot Catch in Los Angeles.
Mariah replaced her engagement band from James with her trademark butterfly ring. She donned an all-black outfit consisting of a cleavage-baring top paired with mini skirt, fishnet tights and peep-toe pumps. Her blonde locks were styled in loose curls. She completed her look with sunglasses and diamond accessories. Bryan, meanwhile, sported a long-sleeved white tee and light blue jeans. They were all smiles during the outing.
According to an eyewitness, Mariah and Bryan arrived together in her Escalade around 10:45 P.M. with Stella and two bodyguards also in her entourage. They left together after spending about three hours at the restaurant. "Mariah was in a very good mood," the eyewitness tells ET, noting they didn't see any PDA between the pair. "She seemed like she wanted to be seen with Bryan Tanaka."
That night, Mariah also broke her social media silence after James split. She shared a photo of her and Stella during the night out while slamming Australia's Woman's Day. "#realfriends who don't read Woman's Day #wedontknowyou We love you #Australianlambs @stellabulochnikov," she captioned it.
While Bryan has been put in the middle of Mariah split from James, sources close to the "Heartbreaker" songstress deny any cheating rumors. According to the sources, the "We Belong Together" singer has a long-standing reputation as a "traditional girl" and she won't do premarital sex.
Things allegedly never got sexual between Mariah and James although they lived together and spent weeks at a time on his yacht. Sources tell TMZ that the former couple always had separate rooms in their homes and on their boats. Mariah's ex Nick Cannon has admitted in interviews about her puritanical values.
Mariah and James "were more like lovesick 12-year-olds, they made out plenty, but never sealed the deal, and that's one reason he was pushing hard to get married ASAP."
