Despite a series of setbacks, the English pop girl group is planning a reunion concert for their 21st anniversary in 2017.

AceShowbiz - Spice Girls might be reuniting for their 21st anniversary next summer. The English pop girl group is reportedly planning a massive reunion concert at London's Hyde Park for July 2017, despite a series of setbacks.

Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton are already onboard the project, according to The Sun. The trio booked in a date for the reunion gig during a meeting at Geri's London home last week. They hoped Melanie C and Victoria Beckham (a.k.a. Victoria Adams) could come on board.

Music manager and lawyer Joyce Smyth and PR guru Alan Edwards, who worked with the group in the 90s, are returning.

"Mel B, Emma and Geri agreed Hyde Park would be the ultimate way to launch a reunion next July for their 21st anniversary," an insider revealed, "It gives them a year to plan everything and make sure their comeback is spectacular. It would be the most-talked about gig of the year."

While watching Carole King's show at Hyde Park on Sunday, July 3, Mel C told the site that she didn't rule out a return to Spice Girls. "I am keeping tight-lipped," Mel C shared, "There are lots of discussions going on. Right now I am in the studio working on my own album and that is my focus. I'm taking it slowly."

While Victoria previously refused to join the 20th anniversary tour, the Posh Spice is reportedly considering the 21st reunion. "Victoria likes the idea of (her daughter) Harper seeing her just once as a Spice Girl because she wasn't born for the reunion in 2008," the source said, "It's a long shot but there's a chance she would join in at the London date."
