The 'American Idol' alum and the 'Without a Fight' singer will co-host the annual awards show, which this year airs on ABC November 2, for the ninth time in a row.

AceShowbiz - Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will be a big part of the 50th Annual Country Music Association Awards. For the ninth time in a row, the pair will co-host the event which is returning to Nashville in November.

The two country superstars announced the news on their respective social media accounts on Tuesday night, May 24. "So excited I am returning to host The 50th Annual CMA Awards w/ @BradPaisley Nov 2 on @abcnetwork! #CMAawards50," Underwood wrote on Instagram.

Paisley also shared his excitement, writing, "Last year they let me pull my pants down on national tv, I wonder what they will let me do this year @CarrieUnderwood... #CMAawards50 @cma."

The 2016 CMA Awards is airing live on ABC November 2 at 8 P.M. Nominees and performers for the upcoming event will be announced at a later date. While it's still unclear how the awards show will celebrate its 50th edition, the producers behind it have promised to take country music fans "on a journey though the past, while looking forward to the future of this music that we all love."
