The 57-year-old musician's jet made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois, early Friday morning to get him to the nearest hospital.

AceShowbiz - Prince is fine after a plane was forced to make an emergency landing so that he could go to hospital. The singer spent three hours at a Moline, Illinois hospital on Friday, April 15 and was later discharged.

The "Purple Rain" singer's jet made an unscheduled landing at Quad City International Airport in Rock Island County, Illinois shortly after 1 A.M. on Friday. He was back from Atlanta where he had a performance on Thursday night. A rep of Prince told TMZ the singer wanted to make it to the gig although he was still unwell after battling flu for several weeks.

Once he got on the plane, he felt considerably worse so an emergency landing was made. An ambulance took him to an area hospital where he was treated for unspecified medical issue. A source told Star Tribune that he had suffered from "bad dehydration" but that "all's good." He was reportedly back at home in Chanhassen Friday evening.

In fact, he's back tweeting. Seemingly aware of the reports of the emergency landing, Prince wrote, "#NowPlaying "Controversy (Single Version)" by @Prince in @TIDALHiFi : ) : )" Earlier in the afternoon, he tweeted, "I am #transformed". A rep of him confirmed last week that he had canceled two concerts in Atlanta earlier this month due to the illness.
