AceShowbiz - Lea Michele is now single lady. The "Scream Queens" star reportedly ended her romance with boyfriend Matthew Paetz after two years of dating. A source told E! News that Matthew was the one who left Lea.
Matthew left the "Glee" alum "all of a sudden and without warning" about two weeks ago, according to the source. The source added that the 30-year-old aspiring model is now refusing to speak with her or anyone else close to her.
"[Lea] got no reason or explanation for the split," the source continued. "She was also very supportive of him even when her friends were skeptical of him because of his past. Lea wanted to believe in love and wanted to believe the good in him. She didn't think he should be punished for his past."
Matthew was rumored to have previously worked for a service offering male "companionship" for women" and his past story didn't sit well with Lea's friends. "He ended up being an opportunist who took advantage and broke up with her in a very heartless way," the source explained. "Her friends were always concerned with the relationship because of his past. All of those fears were validated."
Another source close to Matthew told the site, "They've been hot and cold for some time now-one day fighting and the next madly in love. Friends believe that Lea's success came between the two and Matthew began to resent Lea. The two just stopped working. [He] wanted to get out of town for a bit to clear his head."
Lea and Matthew first met on the set of her music video "On My Way" in April 2014. They were officially dating in June that year. In just three months, the pair had moved in together, sparking rumors of a future engagement.
