AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift came out as the winner in the tough competition for the Album of the Year Award. The 26-year-old superstar's first pop effort, "1989", won the coveted prize over Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp a Butterfly", The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind the Madness", Alabama Shakes' "Sound & Color" and Chris Stapleton's "Traveller".
Swift brought the album's co-executive producer Max Martin on the stage with her when she accepted her trophy. In her speech, she noted that she's the first female to ever win Grammy's Album of The Year twice.
She might also have thrown shade at Kanye West when she talked about how difficult it is being a woman in the industry. "There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success, or take credit for your accomplishments, or your fame," she said, probably referring to the lyrics about her from West's "Famous".
Swift previously won the Album of the Year Award in 2010 for "Fearless". At that time, she was the youngest artist ever to win the prestigious award. Her 2012 set "Red" was also nominated in the same category in 2014, but lost the title to Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories".
