AceShowbiz - Red isn't done unveiling "The Blacklist". NBC has handed out an early renewal to its hit drama, ordering a fourth season for the 2016-2017 season. Announcing the pick-up was none other than creator Jon Bokenkamp.
He said during a podcast for the series called "The Blacklist: Exposed" on Monday, December 7, "We knew about that a while ago, it's one of those things that's hard to keep quiet. But yes, we're renewed through the fourth season. Hopefully we don't tank that out, we got a lot of story to tell."
Renewing "The Blacklist" is a no-brainer. The show starring Emmy-winning actor James Spader continues to deliver a solid 3.0 rating among adults 18-49 and 11.9 million viewers in live-plus-seven day figures despite undergoing a slot shift from Mondays to Thursdays.
NBC had earlier given early renewals to "Chicago Fire", "Chicago P.D." and freshman drama "Blindspot".
