'War of the Planet of the Apes' Brings Back Judy Greer's Cornelia

Greer will reprise her 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' role for the next installment of the sci-fi action movie series.

AceShowbiz - Judy Greer is back to the "Apes" universe. The actress, who played Cornelia in the previous installment "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes", is set to reprise her ape role for the follow-up movie, "War of the Planet of the Apes". The Hollywood Reporter first reported the news.

Cornelia is the chimpanzee wife of apes leader Caesar. Andy Serkis was previously confirmed to return as the chimp leader. Karin Konoval also returns as Maurice, the orangutan with a gentle soul, while Woody Harrelson will play a human villain known as the Colonel.

Filming for the movie began last week with Matt Reeves returning as director. The helmer marked the production kick-off by sharing the first photo from the set.

Written by Mark Bomback, the movie is slated to arrive in the U.S. on July 14, 2017. Plot details are still kept under tight wraps.
