AceShowbiz - "The Flash" was supposed to include a reference to Aquaman in its first season. A newly unearthed deleted scene from the pilot hints that the King of the Seven Seas exists in the same universe as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin).
In the clip which will be included in "The Flash" season 1 Blu-Ray and DVD, Barry tells Detective Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) that he just returned from Starling City where there "were reports of a man that could bend steel with his bare hands!"
Joe responds, "Yeah, and last month you disappeared to Amnesty Bay to investigate a man who could talk to fish," which is referencing Aquaman.
Aquaman will be portrayed by Jason Momoa in an upcoming Warner Bros./DC movie, but there's no word if the actor will make appearance on "The Flash" series.
"The Flash" season 1 Blu-Ray and DVD hits the stores on September 22. The second season of the action series kicks off Tuesday, October 6 at 8 P.M. on The CW.
