Talking about the upcoming season, the executive producers said they plan to bring the series to 'reflect the world as it is now'.

AceShowbiz - Mulan is not just returning to "Once Upon a Time" but she will possibly cause a stir for the series. Executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis revealed that they had plans to introduce the series' first LGBT relationship on the upcoming season but would not specify the couple.

After a screening for the season premiere, EW asked about the chance of Mulan exploring her feelings for Aurora upon her return. "We know that community have been big supporters of the show and we would love to be able to tell a love story that reflects that," Kitsis said.

Horowitz added, "We want the show to reflect the world as it is now. Whether that's going to be with any particular character, we're not going to say." Kitsis chimed in, "But it is something that we're going to do this year." Horowitz thought it was something "important to do on the show. This is the world we live in."

Based on their answers, there's a chance that Mulan and Aurora are not the only ones. Mulan was last seen joining Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men after he learned that the love of his life Aurora was pregnant with Prince Phillip's baby. Jamie Chung is scheduled to reprise the Chinese warrir role in multiple episodes.

The new season premieres Sunday, September 27 at 8 P.M. ET on ABC.
