The YouTube comedian whose videos regularly get millions of views receives backlash after trying to encourage 'fat people' to follow healthy lifestyle by using 'fat-shaming' way.

AceShowbiz - YouTube star Nicole Arbour has come under fire after posting her "Dear Fat People" video on the video-sharing site and Facebook. Her Youtube and Google+ channels were even temporarily suspended after the controversial video sparked social media outcry.

In the said video, Nicole wanted to ask "fat people" to get back to healthy lifestyle which leads to fitness. Nevertheless, the way she delivered it sounded more like fat-shaming though she said "fat-shaming is not a thing." She even compared fat people to "walking zombies."

The comedian even poked fun at the Body Positive campaign which previously went viral. "OMG the hashtags #BodyPositive. If you want to be positive to your body, work out and eat well. That's being positive to your body," she explained. "You really think if enough of you hashtag something bad for you, it makes it okay?"

"I'm not saying all this to be an a**hole, I'm saying it because your friends should be saying this to you. Think of me as one of your ride or dies," Nicole continued. "The truth is, I will actually love you no matter what. But I really, really hope this video bomb of truth's exploding to your face.... and makes you wanna be healthy, so we can enjoy you as human being longer on this planet."

What we've all wanted to say to FAT PEOPLE

Many Facebook users commented on the video, saying that her video was humiliating. One user said, "I'm fat. I'm not proud to be fat, it's humiliating. I don't use my weight as a disability." Another wrote, "The fact that you made the assumption all fat people are fat because they have unhealthy lifestyles really shows how little you know about the situation."

Another user said that the video failed to encourage "fat people" to follow healthy lifestyle. A user wrote, "I have a feeling you're not trying to encourage positive change. By the looks of things you're just trying to gain likes to feed your ego, you sad excuse for a human being.." Another user added, "It's an issue of respect not of being politically correct. Dont say you want to inspire people to be fit and then disrespect them and demean them as lesser human beings."

After getting many criticisms, YouTube temporarily suspended her account. The 30-year-old comedian addressed her account's suspension on Twitter. "Wow, I'm the first comedian in the history of @YouTube to be #censored There are graphic videos about murder and torture, but satire is," she wrote, before posting a screengrab of notification from YouTube.

However, the suspension didn't last too long. Just hours after the suspension, her account was revived. "Thanks to @CNN my channel is back!! But all my videos are currently gone. How do we restore em @YouTube? #GOTEAM," she tweeted.
