Nick Viall isn't warmly welcomed by the guys and Joshua trash talks about Nick, but Kaitlyn Bristowe still keeps Nick on the show.

AceShowbiz - When "The Bachelorette" returned on Monday, June 15, viewers saw how the guys reacted to Nick Viall's arrival. They were obviously not happy, but Nick tried to justify his presence. "I'm not here to cause drama. I'm not here to create a scene. That's not what I'm here for," he said. "I actually kind of dig this girl from the little bit that I know and I'd like to get to know her a little bit more."
He went on explaining, "I didn't come here to get the firing squad, but I get it if you're pissed. I totally get it. I just hope you at least respect why I came," though Joshua and Shawn B. didn't seem to change their minds about Nick.
Meanwhile, Kaitlyn Bristowe was ready for a rose ceremony in New York City's Citi Field. J.J. carried Kaitlyn while running the bases and she dubbed it "a great way to start the night."
Shawn B., meanwhile, opened up about his feelings since Nick joined the show. "It's so hard for me to let my guard down and I told you that and I'm sitting in the house and another guy comes in and it's like I take two steps back and my guard goes up and that's the last thing I want," he told Kaitlyn. She tried to convince him that Nick's presence wouldn't hold back her feelings for Shawn B., but he told her, "I don't know, I would just hope that you were smarter-not smarter-I just think, this guy's full of s**t, 110 percent."
Kaitlyn gave Shawn B. a rose despite his complaints. She also kept Ben H., Ben Z. Tanner, Joe, Ian, J.J., Joshua and Nick, while sending home Ryan, Jonathan and Corey.
Next was a one-on-one date with Ben H. They competed in a two-step dance competition. While they didn't win the competition, it grew their connection. "He seems up for anything," Kaitlyn praised him. "He's just a handsome, handsome man."
They later enjoyed a romantic dinner on a rooftop during which he opened up about his previous failed relationship. When Kaitlyn asked if he was ready for something as serious as an engagement, he responded, "Why would I not want that as soon as possible?" She gave him a rose and they made out.
For the group date, Kaitlyn along with Justin, Jared, Ian, Chris, Tanner, Joe, J.J., Ben Z., Joshua and Nick went to a ranch in Boerne, Texas where they got a mariachi lesson. Each of the guys had to write a song and serenade Kaitlyn. Nick took her to a balcony and sang a song for her.
Meanwhile, Joshua let Kaitlyn cut his hair, though it didn't help advance their relationship. He also trash talked about Nick in front of Kaitlyn, saying that "nobody is comfortable with him in the house. Nobody likes him." She met the other guys to confirm it, but the others said they were fine with Nick. Kaitlyn eventually gave Nick a rose.
The second one-on-one date went to Shawn B. They went kayaking and he shared his story about a serious car accident he had six years ago that left him hospitalized for months. He then professed his love for her as saying, "I'm falling in love with you," and she replied that she felt the same way. She gave him a rose and they kissed a lot.
At a cocktail party, Jared also dropped the L-bomb, but her reaction wasn't as romantic as the one with Shawn. "That makes me happy," she responded.
Meanwhile, Ian said he was over Kaitlyn, saying, "She's not half as hot as my ex-girlfriend." He's dismayed that Kaitlyn wasn't that into him. "I don't need to come on a TV show to make out with one girl who's making out with 10 dudes, and if the guys left in the house are any indication, I don't think she's looking for someone that's as deep as me and I really don't think she's looking for someone that's as smart as me," he told the camera.
He decided to leave, but not before telling Kaitlyn, "It's tough for me because I came here expecting to meet the girl that had her heart broken and was devastated by Chris Soules, not the girl that wanted to get her field plowed by Chris." He added, "I feel like you are here to make out with a bunch of dudes on TV and bringing Nick in, I don't question his intentions, I question your intentions. I really see you as a surface-level person at this stage. I wonder if you really are that shallow because I don't see anything beyond surface."
The episode ended before showing Kaitlyn's reaction to Ian's statement.
