George Clooney on Having Kids With Amal: 'It Hasn't Been High on My List'

Having children is currently not a priority for the 'Tomorrowland' actor and his wife, whom he married in September 2014 in Venice, Italy.

AceShowbiz - George Clooney doesn't really think about having children with his wife Amal Clooney (previously known as Amal Alamuddin) right now. In an interview on "CBS This Morning" on Wednesday, May 20, host Charlie Rose asked George, "The one thing that I don't have in my life is children. Do you even think about that?"

The star of "The Monuments Men" replied, "I don't really [think about it]. I mean, I've thought about it, I suppose, but it hasn't been high on my list. I've been asked [about kids] a lot lately because I've gotten married and I'm doing a movie with kids in it." He then joked that some people had been really "creative" about it.

Clearly, George wanted to dodge the question but Charlie pressed on, saying, "You got such a great dad [journalist Nick Clooney], and you're so close to him. That must be a powerful emotion of you," to which the "Gravity" actor replied, "It is. And I'm really close to my mom [Nina Clooney], too. I'm really close to my family."

"So family's important to you?" Charlie asked further. "Oh, yeah, big time! My sister and I are very close too... My nephew was just made prom king from the high school that I went to," George said, noting that he was not named to prom court when he was a teenager in Kentucky.

In the interview, George also gushed about Amal's job, saying, "The things that she does have great meaning. There are consequences when what she does works and doesn't work, and they're much bigger than the kind of consequences I deal with."

George can be seen in upcoming Disney movie "Tomorrowland" alongside Brittany Robertson, Hugh Laurie, Raffey Cassidy and Tim McGraw. Directed by Brad Bird, the sci-fi, adventure flick is set to hit U.S. theaters on Friday, May 22.
