AceShowbiz - Drake has set a new streaming record on Spotify with his newly-released mixtape, "If You're Reading This It's Too Late". The project, which arrived late last week without prior notice, was streamed more than 17.3 million times in just three days.

The Canadian rapper broke the record previously held by himself with his latest album, "Nothing Was the Same". The 2013 effort notched 15.8 million streams in its debut week. The new mixtape additionally set a record for most streams in a single day in the U.S. after garnering 6.8 million streams last Saturday.

"If You're Reading This It's Too Late" is currently on track to open at No. 1 on this week's Billboard 200. With about 500,000 units, according to Billboard, the set easily surpasses the "Fifty Shades of Grey" soundtrack that will now likely debut on the same chart at No. 2.

Following the release of the surprise mixtape, Drizzy is expected to drop his next full-length which he last year confirmed would be called "Views From the 6". The album still has no official release date.
