To promote their upcoming sophomore album, which arrives in the U.S. on February 17, the Las Vegas rockers debut the 'Shots' video and cover Swift's hit during a visit to Radio 1's 'Live Lounge'.

AceShowbiz - In anticipation of their "Smoke + Mirrors", Imagine Dragons has dropped the official music video for their song "Shots". The cool visuals made available on Vevo on Thursday, February 12 was inspired by the paintings of Tim Cantor, a surrealist painter who also created the cover art for the band's album.

In the clip, Dan Reynolds and Co. dress as if they're the subjects of the paintings. Several objects randomly float around them while some golden snakes and skeleton birds make appearances in unexpected places.

"Smoke + Mirrors" is set for release in the U.S. on February 17 via KIDinaKORNER and Interscope. Serving as the follow-up to 2012's Grammy-winning "Night Visions", the album has also been preceded by lead single "I Bet My Life" and another countdown track "Gold".

To promote their new effort, Imagine Dragons recently visited Radio 1's "Live Lounge" and complied with the show's tradition to cover a song by another act. The group decided to perform Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" and turn the poppy song into a slow-tempo, country-tinged jam. They also replaced the bridge from the original with a snippet of Ben E. King's "Stand By Me" towards the end of the performance.
