The 'Tomorrowland' actor has held a low-key celebration for his wife's 37th birthday with some close friends, including Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford, at his L.A. house.

AceShowbiz - George Clooney has hosted a low-key celebration for his wife Amal Clooney's 37th birthday. He invited some close friends, including Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford, to an intimate dinner at his residence in Los Angeles.

Rande revealed the news when attending the Omega and Orbis screening of "Hospital in the Sky" with Cindy and their two children Kaia Gerber and Presley Gerber at the New-York Historical Society on Thursday, February 5.

"We just had a dinner with a small group of close friends at George's house," Rande told PEOPLE, before gushing that the "Tomorrowland" actor was "always doing special things for [Amal]."

George and Amal recently were hit by divorce rumor. In late January, InTouch claimed that the couple was having a "$200 million divorce." An alleged source claimed that their marriage was "beset with jealousy, arguments and other relationship-wrecking behavior."

The tabloid reported, "Amal's disdain for Hollywood and many of George's pals, her increasingly diva-like behavior, as well as fights over starting a family, have friends convinced it's all gone wrong for the couple." Another insider said, "I think they'll divorce. There's no way it can last. And it's going to be very expensive for George."

The rumor, however, was debunked by George and Amal's representative Stan Rosenfield. Stan told RumorFix, "This story is totally made up in order to sell their magazines."
