The British singer, who covers the latest edition of Rolling Stone, says in an interview with the magazine that 'constant comparisons' to the 'Someone Like You' hitmaker may 'piss her off.'

AceShowbiz - Sam Smith wants everyone to stop calling him the male version of Adele. The British singer, who graces the latest edition of Rolling Stone, admits to being "annoyed" by comparisons to the "Someone Like You" songbird as he talks about his rise to stardom in an accompanying interview with the magazine.

"We're very different, and I feel like the constant comparisons might piss her off," he says. "It just annoys me that people can't digest two pop stars singing really personal songs who don't look like normal pop stars."

Smith also reveals that he doesn't mind losing a Grammy to Beyonce Knowles. The "Stay With Me" hitmaker, who has openly been a huge fan of the diva, currently has his "In the Lonely Hour" pitted against other albums including Bey's self-titled set in the coveted Album of the Year category at the upcoming awards event. He tells Rolling Stone that he'll be "embarrassed" if he wins the title over her.

"She deserves it way more than I do. I'd be embarrassed if I got it over her," he explains before revealing what he'll do if he does win over her, "If I got it, I'd give it to her."

In the interview, Smith also discusses his first experience with heartbreak and opens up about being bullied after he came out as a gay when he was a young teen, saying that bullying never really affected him, but made him feeling "embarrassed" for people around him.
