Brad Pitt Is in Talks for Angelina Jolie's 'Africa', Matthew McConaughey Joins 'Born to Run'

The 'Fury' star is in negotiations to play an archaeologist in the elephant poaching movie, while the 'Dallas Buyers Club' star is playing a journalist in the upcoming drama.

AceShowbiz - Brad Pitt is eyeing another collaboration with his wife Angelina Jolie. According to a Wednesday, January 28 report by TheWrap, the "Fury" star is in talks to appear in Jolie's "Africa". He is set to lead the biopic, playing a paleo-archaeologist named Richard Leakey who fought elephant poachers in the 1980s in Kenya.

Pitt and Jolie first worked together in "Mr. and Mrs. Smith". Most recently, they collaborated as actor/director in "By the Sea". The drama which centers on a couple in the 1970s is possibly set for release later this year.

On Wednesday, it was also reported that Matthew McConaughey had bagged a new project. According to Deadline, the Oscar winner is attached to play a journalist in "Born to Run", an adaptation of Christopher McDougall's book "Born To Run: A Hidden Tribe, Super Athletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen".

The book tells the story of the journalist, who is also an often-injured runner, tagging along Tarahumara Indians to learn how they can run hundreds of miles without rest or injury. His adventure brings him to various places in North America including Mexico's Copper Canyons.

McConaughey was most recently seen playing an astronaut in Christopher Nolan-directed "Interstellar" with Anne Hathaway. He next can be seen in "Sea of Trees" alongside Ken Watanabe and Naomi Watts as well as "Free State of Jones" with Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
