With 218,000 equivalent album units, 'American Beauty/American Psycho' posts the rock band's second-best sales week ever, following 2007's 'Infinity on High'.

AceShowbiz - Fall Out Boy's "American Beauty/American Psycho" has made its way out to No. 1 on this week's Billboard 200. According to Nielsen Music, the rock band's latest album, which was released on January 20, opens with 218,000 equivalent album units including 192,000 in pure album sales.

That's the group's second-best sales week ever, following "Infinity on High" which gave them their first No. 1 album on the chart after debuting with 260,000 back in 2007. Their second chart-topping album was "Save Rock and Roll" that launched with 154,000 in 2013.

Next on Billboard 200, Taylor Swift's "1989" stays at No. 2 with 119,000. The country-turned-pop superstar's fifth studio effort has so far spent 13 weeks inside the top 2, including 9 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1.

Trailing behind Swift is last week's first placer, Meghan Trainor. The "All About That Bass" hitmaker's debut set "Title" falls to No. 3 with 86,000. Ed Sheeran is another non-mover as his "X" keeps its position steady at No. 4 with 76,000.

Rapper Joey Bada$$' "B4.Da.$$" becomes the second new album to debut inside the top 10. It arrives at No. 5 with 58,000 equivalent units which are mostly made up of traditional album sales (94 percent).

Nicki Minaj's "The Pinkprint" is still at No. 6 with 54,000. Alt rock band The Decemberists follows at No. 7 as their "What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World" comes with 51,000. Marilyn Manson's "The Pale Emperor" is the next rock act on the list. Reaching No. 8 with 51,000, it marks the 46-year-old performer's eighth top 10 effort.

Closing out the top 10 are Sam Smith's "In the Lonely Hour" that slips from last week's No. 7 to this week's No. 9 with 50,000, and Mark Ronson's "Uptown Special" which plunges five rungs to No. 10 with 49,000.
