Luke Evans Hints at Leaving 'The Crow' Remake
Movie

The 'Dracula Untold' actor says the movie's long delay may prevent him from taking on the lead role originally played by Brandon Lee.

AceShowbiz - The long-delayed remake of "The Crow" may be losing its leading actor. Luke Evans was initially attached to play the main character, but now it looks like the "Dracula Untold" star is dropping out of the project as he recently suggested in a new interview.

"It's not, no. No at the minute 'The Crow' is not, not for me," he told Den of Geek. "I think it's a little...I mean I'm sure it's going to go ahead at some point, but I have other projects that are greenlit and ready to go and projects that I'm very interested in and you know, I can't wait much longer! [laughs]."

The movie has just got a new director in Corin Hardy. Based on James O'Barr's 1989 comic book of the same name, it centers on Eric Draven, a murdered rock star who is brought to life by supernatural bird crow to avenge his murder.

The original film was released in 1994. It starred Brandon Lee, marking his final film appearance. The actor was accidentally killed on the set during a filming.
