Wedding bells are on the way for actor Rupert Friend. The "Homeland" star has apparently popped the question to his athlete/model girlfriend Aimee Mullins. Their engagement was revealed at the recent L'Oreal Paris Women of Worth Awards.
The couple attended the event together. According to Us Weekly, the L'Oreal ambassador called the "Hitman: Agent 47" actor her "fiance" on the red carpet. She was also reportedly given a congratulatory shout-out on her betrothal by the host. It prompted applause from the star-studded audience which included Eva Longoria, Diane Keaton and Julianne Moore.
Mullins, 38, was born with the medical condition that resulted in the amputation of her lower legs. She competed at the Paralympics as a sprinter before launching a career as a model. She has been linked to Friend, 33, since 2013. He previously dated his "Pride and Prejudice" co-star Keira Knightley for five years.
