Taylor Swift Tops Billboard 200 Again With '1989', Sets Record on Hot 100 With 'Blank Space'

In addition to topping the albums chart after '1989' sells another 312,000 copies, the singer replaces her own 'Shake It Off' with 'Blank Space' at No.1 on Billboard Hot 100.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift's "1989" stays atop Billboard 200. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the album has its third consecutive week at No. 1 after selling additional 312,000 copies. It also becomes the second album in 2014 to have spent three weeks at No. 1, following the "Frozen (2013)" soundtrack.

Since being released in late October, "1989" has so far sold 2 million copies. "Blank Space", the newest single off the album, currently also tops Billboard Hot 100 after dethroning its own predecessor "Shake It Off". Swift now becomes the first female artist in the chart's history to bump herself from the top slot.

Back to Billboard 200, Foo Fighters' "Sonic Highways" comes at No. 2 with 190,000. The record, which features 8 songs recorded in 8 different cities across the U.S., gives the rockers their seventh top 10 album.

Pink Floyd's "The Endless River" is another new rock album on the chart, hitting No. 3 with 170,000. At No. 4, Garth Brooks' comeback LP "Man Against Machine" arrives with 130,000. The album, marking the country superstar's first full-length of new material in 13 years, has been unavailable on digital retailers except his own GhostTunes which didn't report the sales to SoundScan.

Rapper Big K.R.I.T. closes out the top 5 as his "Cadillactica" starts at No. 5 with 44,000, his best sales week yet. Nick Jonas' self-titled effort is the last new arrival in the to 10, opening at No. 6 with 37,000.

Behind the former Jonas Brothers member is the "Now 52" album which plunges to No. 7 from last week's No. 2 with 37,000. Pentatonix's "That's Christmas to Me" jumps from No. 23 to No. 8 with just over 34,000 while Sam Smith's "In the Lonely Hour" slips one rung to No. 9 with 30,000. George Strait's "Cowboy Rides Away: Live from AT&T Stadium" claims the last spot in the top 10, rising from last week's No. 60 after selling 30,000.
