AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift made an appearance on BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge" on Thursday, October 9 to promote her new album "1989". In addition to having an interview with host Fearne Cotton, the singer treated listeners to a flawless cover of Vance Joy's "Riptide".
"This is just one of my favorite songs that has come out all year... I wanted to change up the arrangement a little bit and kind of hear what it would sound like if a girl sang it," she said before performing the song while playing the piano.
During her visit to the show, Swift also performed her own hit single, "Shake It Off", with a band and some backing vocalists.
"1989", Swift's fifth studio effort, is coming out on October 27. She will be releasing a new track called "Out of the Woods" next week. Co-penned by Fun.'s Jack Antonoff, the song was allegedly inspired by her relationship with Harry Styles. Swift has said that the song is not her new single.
