The actor will portray Harvey Dent in his early days of being an ambitious attorney way before he becomes Batman's foe.

AceShowbiz - Nicholas D'Agosto will portray a famous comic book character on small screen. The "Masters of Sex" star has been cast as Harvey Dent aka Two Face on FOX's freshman drama "Gotham".

Dent is described as a bright and charming character who, "during his good days, is known for being an idealistic assistant district attorney who vows to eradicate the crime and corruption that has poisoned Gotham." Per Variety, Dent will also display a fleeting glimpse of the villain that he will become.

D'Agosto will have a recurring role in the first season with an option to become a regular in season 2. The current season is focusing on Oswald Cobblepot aka Penguin as the main villain.

Executive producer and showrunner Bruno Heller had previously revealed the plan to bring in Two Face. He confirmed that Dent wouldn't be in the same age of Bruce Wayne. "We're playing Harvey Dent slightly older. He's more Gordon's age in this telling," Heller told IGN. "One of the things to avoid in order not to tell a high school story - which would be great, but it's a different show on a different network at a different time that I would not be a part of. But he will go back to school and villains will be part of that world."
