AceShowbiz - John Stamos is mourning the death of his mother Loretta Phillips Stamos who passed away at the age of 75. On Tuesday, September 23, the "Full House" alum took to Instagram to announce the sad news. Sharing a photo of him as a toddler and his mother, the actor wrote, "The love of my life passed away yesterday in her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren."
"My mother had enough love to fuel a small country. She was truly one of a kind and will live forever in the hearts of all who knew her," he continued. "A few weeks ago, I asked my mom if she remembered an inconsequential event - she simply replied, 'I only remember the love.' #Brokenhearted #Iloveyouthemost."
Fans have been offering condolences after learning of Loretta's passing. "So sorry for you loss. Thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family," a fan wrote. "My heart goes out to you. Sincerest sympathy and prayers for you and your family," another fan said.
In the Instagram post, Stamos also asked fans to make donation to The Vanguard Cancer Foundation. Founded by Loretta, the non-profit foundation aims to provide support for cancer patients.
