Baring his chest on the cover of Billboard magazine, Brown talks about trying to move past his troubles, saying, 'No one can live in the past and expect to grow.'

AceShowbiz - Chris Brown opens up about moving past his troubles in an interview with Billboard magazine. The Grammy-winning singer, who is featured on the front page baring his chest while wearing a green jacket, white shirt and a fedora, dishes on life behind bars, upcoming album "X" and Rihanna in the interview which will be released in full on Friday, September 5.

"I realize that what I do for a living opens my life to public scrutiny and that I have a responsibility to everyone because of that exposure," Brown tells the magazine. "I can say that I am only human and I have made mistakes."

"I can say that I try to live my life in the most true, honest way that I can. I am not perfect, no one is. No one is harder on me than me. No one can please everyone. No one can live in the past and expect to grow. I have been moving forward and hope that I am not defined by just a few moments in my life but all of the moments that will make up my life," he continues.

Brown's long-awaited album "X" is due out September 16. The set was originally planned to be released earlier this year, but it was delayed due to his runs-in with the law. On September 2, Brown pleaded guilty over Washington, D.C. assault and apologized in court. The judge sentenced him to time already served.
