The clip features some flashback scenes showing the boys and their girlfriends having fun together during a summer day.
5 Seconds of Summer has unveiled the full music video of their single "Amnesia" for fans' viewing pleasure. The four-minute visuals opens with the group consisting of Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford and Ashton Irwin performing the heartbreaking ballad in an abandoned summer home.
The footage of the boys looking heartbroken while singing the track intersperses with scenes giving glimpses at them spending a fun summer day in the past. Along with their girlfriends, they're seen having a shopping cart race, playing golf on the top of a car and having a pool party with a blow-up giraffe.
"Amnesia" was co-written by Good Charlotte's Benji Madden and Joel Madden. It appears in 5 Seconds of Summer's self-titled debut album that debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 earlier this week. The LP, which has also spawned hits "She Looks So Perfect" and "Don't Stop", opened atop the chart with 259,000 in its first week.
The set posts the third-highest debut of 2014 (behind Coldplay's "Ghost Stories" and Eric Church's "The Oursiders"), and the best opening week for an artist's first LP since 2006 (when Daughtry's self-titled set came with 304,000).
