Footage from the live telecast of Grammy Nominations concert Friday night, December 6 has flooded the internet. Lorde and Taylor Swift were among the performers featured at the event. The former belted out her smash hit "Royals", and the latter sang her chart-busting "I Knew You Were Trouble".
Lorde took the stage at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, wearing a simple white top and dark pants. The 17-year-old New Zealand singer got four nominations; Record of the Year, Song of the Year & Best Pop Solo Performance for the single she sang that night, and Best Pop Vocal Album for "Pure Heroine".
While her pal sang live from El Lay, Swift performed her single from Sydney, Australia where she's having a tour. She donned a ball gown with a group of dancers accompanying her. The 23-year-old songstress got two nods, Album of the Year and Best Country Album both thanks to her latest effort "Red".
The winners for the 56th Annual Grammy Awards will be announced in a live show on January 26, 2014. Jay-Z tops the nominations with nine, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Justin Timberlake, and Pharrell Williams each garner seven nods, while Drake and mastering engineer Bob Ludwig are up for five awards.
