AceShowbiz - A new teaser poster for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" has landed online to tide fans over the 2014 release. Making its way out via Marvel's Twitter account, it features the titular superhero standing with his back facing toward the camera and S.H.I.E.L.D.'s logo under his feet. A S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier and modern day Washington, D.C. are seen in the background.

The poster does not share many details, but it has been said that the movie will be more of a political thriller than a traditional superhero movie. Washington, D.C. will serve as a major setting for the follow-up to 2011's "Captain America: The First Avenger".

Along with the release of the teaser poster, Marvel announces that an official teaser trailer for the movie will arrive in two days on @iTunesTrailers.

Chris Evans returns in "The Winter Soldier", with Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as Black Widow. Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo and Emily VanCamp also star in the action film, set to open wide in U.S. theaters on April 4, 2014. Anthony and Joe Russo direct the film with the script written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
