After announcing the first batch of films to screen, the 38th Toronto International Film Festival has recently unveiled the second one. It is revealed that Daniel Radcliffe will not only screen "Kill Your Darlings" at the Canadian event as his other starring vehicle, "Horns", is included in the Vanguard line-up.
The Vanguard category, which is for "provocative, sexy ... possibly dangerous" films, has several American titles in addition to "Horns". Among them are "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" from Simon and Zeke Hawkins, revenge pic "Blue Ruin" from Jeremy Saulnier and suspense thriller "Proxy" from Zack Parker.
In Midnight Madness line-up, there are nine movies making it to the list. Set to be premiered first is "All Cheerleaders Die" from Lucky McKee. Eli Roth also sends his directorial effort, "The Green Inferno", to the category. Karen Gillan and Katee Sackhoff's horror movie, "Oculus", is included as well.
As for the documentary list, it includes "The Unknown Known", which centers on Donald Rumsfeld, one of the key architects of the Iraq War, and will throw its North American premiere at the annual festival. "At Berkeley", Frederik Wiseman's doc about the University of California at Berkeley, will also grace the big screen.
TIFF will run September 5-15. Complete list of the line-up can be obtained on the official website.
