Katy Perry may have just announced the title and the release date of her new album. On Monday, July 29, a golden truck that carried large words read, "Katy Perry. 'Prism'. 10-22-13," was seen driving around Los Angeles.
Fans quickly responded to the announcement by posting pictures of the golden truck on social media like Twitter and Instagram. Longtime stylist Johnny Wujek tweeted his excitement, writing, "Wahoo. My girls new album is announced. PRISM. 10.22.13. Get ready to be enLIGHTened #you'reGonnaflip..."
The golden truck's job is apparently far from done. Perry asked fans to take a picture of the truck and post it on Twitter so she could retweet it. She also said that Los Angeles was not the only place fans would find the catchy truck.
"Find the #PRISM semi, take a picture and I'll RT you," she tweeted. "Don't worry, Los Angeles is just the first stop on the map."
Perry has shared some details about her upcoming release. In the new issue of L'Uomo Vogue, the 28-year-old singer says that her new album is "much darker" than its predecessor. "It will be a much darker album than the previous one. It was inevitable, after what I went through," she reveals.
