Rigorous training to be undergone by the Dauntless is teased in a behind-the-scenes look at "Divergent" on the Chicago set. In the video courtesy of Entertainment Tonight, Shailene Woodley and fellow initiates are featured practicing shooting on the rooftop of a building. Glimpse of Theo James overseeing the training as the Dauntless leader is also previewed.
"Her decisions are constantly being torn between whether to be brave or whether to be selfless," Woodley explains of her character, Beatrice "Tris" Prior. In the story, Tris is a strong-willed teenager who tries her best not to show any weakness. This is why fans have previously been treated with pics of her being a knife-throwing target and perching on top of a building.
Directed by Neil Burger, "Divergent" is set in a dystopian future where society is divided up into five factions. Learning that she doesn't belong in any of them, Tris discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents and tries to find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it's too late.
Summit Entertainment will take the movie to San Diego for a Comic-Con panel on Thursday, July 18. Woodley, James, Miles Teller and Maggie Q are some of cast members that will be on hand for the promotional effort.
"Divergent" is scheduled to arrive in theaters nationwide on March 21, 2014.
