Indie rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs premieres a music video for "Despair", the new single off their latest album "Mosquito". Shooting the video on top of the Empire State Building marks a milestone for the trio as they officially become the first group to ever shoot a video in the famous landmark.

Vocalist and pianist Karen O, guitarist and keyboardist Nick Zinner and drummer Brian Chase have "reached new heights" so to speak with their new, six-and-a-half-minute clip which kicks off with their lead singer, dressed in an eye-catching, bright yellow suit accessorized by a lei. As she does her thing inside a bar, her a cappella solo plays for almost a full third of the clip before the instrumental kicks in.

After Zinner is seen riding a cab and Chase is shown napping in the subway, the three make their way to the Empire State Building, where they ultimately rock out on the observation deck of the skyscraper. As they pause momentarily to take in the view from the top, the camera pans out to the amazing sights around New York City.

"There's been a lot of career highs and lows over the years of being in a band, but in the end, how many can say they shot a video on the top of the Empire State Building?" said Karen O. Truly. Many bands have attempted to do what they did but none before them met the building manager's requirements.
