Blue Aliens Dominate the First Trailer for 'Escape from Planet Earth'

The space movie directed by Callan Brunker has a voice cast ensemble that includes the likes of Brendan Fraser, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Alba and Jane Lynch.

AceShowbiz - "Escape from Planet Earth" gets its first trailer available for viewing pleasure. Highlighting a group of blue aliens that are stranded on Earth, the video is filled with funny and action-packed scenes. While aliens are usually portrayed as threatening invaders, the trailer features them as a bunch of friendly creatures which face culture shock as they arrive on Earth.

"Escape from Planet Earth" will catapult audience to planet Baab, where admired astronaut Scorch Supernova is a national hero to the blue alien population. A master of daring rescues, Scorch pulls off astonishing feats with the quiet aid of his nerdy, by-the-rules brother Gary, who is the head of mission control at BASA.

When BASA's chief Lena informs the brothers of an SOS from a notoriously dangerous planet, Scorch rejects Gary's warnings and bounds off for yet another exciting mission. But when Scorch finds himself caught in a fiendish trap set by the evil Shanker, it's up to Gary to do the real rescuing. As the interplanetary stakes rise to new heights, Gary is left to save his brother, his planet, his beloved wife Kira and their adventure-hungry son Kip.

The cast ensemble of the animation pic includes the likes of Brendan Fraser, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Alba, Jane Lynch, Rob Corddry, James Gandolfini and Craig Robinson. The Weinsten Company will release the Callan Brunker-directed family movie on Valentine's Day 2013, or February 14 next year to be exact.
