The 'Nashville' star teaches her tattooed lover not to mess with her in this new county music video.
Do not be fooled by Hayden Panettiere's gorgeous looks and flawless figure in a new music video for "Telescope". Not only does the clip feature her cute country twang, but it also shows that no guy cheats on her and gets away with it. The "Nashville" star plays the role of a sexy vixen out to teach his lover a lesson in the video for the first official single off the ABC Wednesday-night drama.
Released via People, the "Telescope" clip is filled with spy-like scenes complete with film noir style lighting and camera work, plus quick shots of guns, a mapped-out evidence board, guy tied up in ropes, a secret love affair, and, of course, telescopes. The visuals cuts back and forth showing Panettiere in seductive shots and takes of her giving some serious punishment to her "cheatin' and schemin' " tattooed lover.
"You can't hide from me/ There ain't no tricks that you can try on me/ I know your ever move before you even breathe, baby/ Thinkin' you know something I don't know/ But my eyes, my eyes, my eyes are like a telescope," so she croons in the video.
Panettiere's tough persona in the video may very well be a glimpse of Juliette Barnes, the character she plays in the ABC TV series "Nashville", which centers on the lives of two women in the country music industry. One is more seasoned and the other is sort of an up-and-coming star with an edge.
Panettiere's co-stars Connie Britton, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson, Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio are also set to release songs from the TV series. These tracks will receive airplay on country radio and be made available in iTunes.
