Matchbox 20 are back with a fresh music video in support of their latest single "Overjoyed". It's a continuation to hype up their upcoming fourth studio album "North", which will be available in the United States on September 4.
The music video is about two kids who started trading notes at the beginning of their friendship. Their relationship then blossoms into a romance, and they end up being together and becoming a loving couple. The way Rob Thomas rendered "Overjoyed" compliments how the story in the video unfolds.
Matchbox are known for their heartfelt songs that people can easily relate to. The vision of one happy family they present in the music video can be a great constant reminder for fans to believe that happiness is just around the corner.
Led by Rob-written single "She's So Mean", "North" will be the band's first album since 2007's "Exile on Mainstream". When they were on hiatus, Rob did a solo project and released it under the title of "Cradlesong". He peaked at No. 3 on Billboard Hot 200 with his sophomore solo set.
