A garbage truck reportedly hit the actress' car in New York City on Monday, July 16 night but no one was injured.
Katie Holmes continues making headlines. This time she was involved in a minor auto accident involving her car and a sanitation truck. The actress reportedly was inside the Mercedes with her 6-year-old daughter Suri.
A police source told Reuters that a New York City Sanitation truck sideswiped Holmes' car on Monday, July 16 night in NYC but no one was injured. A New York Police Department spokesman later said an accident involving a Mercedes and a truck indeed occurred around 9:30 P.M. EDT that day but denied naming the passengers.
Police said there will be no criminal charges.
Suri was seen the next day looking well and happy as her father, Tom Cruise, visited her in New York City where Holmes has rented an apartment. Holmes has moved out of her marital house since filing for divorce from Cruise last month.
"Tom looked really happy," an observer in New York told People of the father-daughter meeting. Another source added, "He's been dying to see her." Cruise completed the filming of "Oblivion" on Sunday in California.
