Hudson wears nursing scrubs, while Hedlund sports new darker hair when shooting a scene for the upcoming dramedy in New York City.
Jennifer Hudson and Garrett Hedlund dressed into their characters when filming a scene for upcoming dramedy "Lullaby". The two were caught on camera starting their working day on the set of the movie in New York City last Saturday, June 30.
Ditching her signature diva look, "American Idol" alum Hudson was snapped rocking blue nursing scrubs complete with a name tag, a long black coat and a matching backpack. "Tron Legacy" actor Hedlund, meanwhile, sported new darker hair while rocking a layered jacket and denims that he paired with black boots.
Hudson and Hedlund were announced as part of the movie's cast ensemble during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival last May. They are also joined by Richard Jenkins, Terrence Howard, Amy Adams and Jessica Brown Findlay.
Filled with considerable comedic beats, "Lullaby" explores the power of life, its transformative moments and reconnections between loved ones. Estranged from his family, Jonathan (Hedlund) receives word that his father Robert (Jenkins), who has been fighting illness for over a decade, has chosen to take himself off life support in less than 48 hours.
The dramedy, which still hasn't got a U.S. release date, marks the directorial debut of former "Party of Five" star Andrew Levitas. He additionally serves as the screenwriter.
