Scotty McCreery is back in Garner, North Carolina in a music video for "Water Tower Town". After filming the visuals for "The Trouble with Girls" in his alma mater Garner Magnet High School, the country music crooner takes fans to have a look at the neighborhood and lovely people in his hometown in the newly-released clip.
The winner of "American Idol" season 10 is seen hanging out with his friends and watching a football game from the audience seat. Those scenes are mixed with footage of him on tour, greeting his fans as well as taking pictures with them.
"Water Tower Town" is the third single off McCreery's debut studio album "Clear as Day" which has been made available in music stores since October 4, 2011. The set debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200, making him the youngest man to open at the top of the chart with his debut release at 18 years old.
McCreery is currently on the road with Brad Paisley, but has also been preparing his second album. "We've gotten songs in... and starting to get in the mode of writing and stuff," he dished on working his sophomore set. "We've already got a few winners picked out I'm really excited about cutting. It's going to be fun."
"The first one I did was a little rushed; I didn't get to enjoy it or get creative with it," he went on sharing, "this one we're going to take our time and really make a good album." He added, "I just want people to really see me this time. I don't want to get caught up in the sappy love songs; those are important, but I want them to get a feel for who I am as an artist and sing about real things in life."
