New 'Arrow' Trailer Highlights the Vigilante's Origin

The new promo video offers glimpses of Oliver Queen's past, including when he's stranded on an island and how he survives the condition.

A brand new sneak peek to The CW's upcoming series "Arrow" has been made available for viewing pleasure. While the previously released clip mostly sees Oliver Queen readying himself to bring justice on his city, the newly released trailer focuses on the origin of his alter ego, Green Arrow.

The promo video features Queen getting stranded on an island and how he's honing his skills with a bow and arrow while trying to survive. Upon his return to Starling City, he is determined to use his new ability to punish them who have spread terror in the city and to its inhabitants.

Stephen Amell tackles the titular role with the likes of Katie Cassidy, Colin Donnell and David Ramsey supporting the cast ensemble. Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg executive produce the show, which will air every Wednesday at 8 P.M. ET on The CW starting this fall.
