'Glee' Video: Amber Riley Sings Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You'


In the Valentine's Day episode, the Mercedes Jones depicter is seen delivering an emotional rendition of the classic ballad in the choir room.

A "Glee" video which sees Amber Riley belting out Whitney Houston's single "I Will Always Love You" has landed online. It features the actress, who plays Mercedes Jones, baring her heart out through the ballad epic in front of the other New Directions kids including Sam.

The footage was part of "Glee" Valentine's Day outing. It was Mercedes' anthem after she told Sam that they couldn't be together because she felt guilty for lying to and cheating on Shane. As Sam walked off, dejected, she envisioned herself singing the song and continued the emotional performance in front of the glee club.

The episode actually has long been planned to feature a cover of Whitney's song, but in the wake of the singer's sudden death, "the producers have decided to dedicate the episode to Houston's memory with a card in the end credits."
