The Green Day frontman will guest star in the season 4 premiere of the Showtime drama comedy as a stranger who causes a major change in Jackie's life.
Billie Joe Armstrong has landed another acting gig after joining the cast of Broadway's musical "American Idiot". The rocker is slated to appear in the fourth season premiere of "Nurse Jackie" and his appearance has been previewed in newly released photos.
In one of the pictures, the Green Day frontman is seen getting friendly with Edie Falco's Jackie. The other image, which can be seen on The Hollywood Reporter, features him sitting alone on the same set as the first photo.
Armstrong is cast as a stranger who meets the drug-addicted nurse, Jackie, and causes a major change in her life. The season 4 opener that features him is set to air on Sunday, April 8 at 9 P.M. on Showtime.
Other guest stars slated to appear in the next season of the medical dramedy include "Third Watch" alum Bobby Cannavale, "Pineapple Express" actress Rosie Perez, Falco's former "The Sopranos" co-star Aida Turturro, and Oscar winner Joel Grey.
