Anthony Hamilton has returned with "Back to Love" since his last studio installment, 2008's Gold-certified "The Point of It All". The title of the new album couldn't be more appropriate as the 40-year-old R&B/soul singer was back to being loved by critics and fans alike through the CD.
Boasting production works by Babyface, Dre & Vidal and more other notable team, the album received generally positive review. Consistently gracing his fans with his great distinctive voice and signature grit, soul and funk, he once again put his heart and soul into this new release.
"Having children gives you another burst of energy, a new perspective. Back to Love stems from that energy," the father of five said. Filling the album with a combination of groovy, funky songs and love ballads, he shows how board the spectrum of soul music can be.
"Some people write songs to be hits," the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter gushed. "Some people write songs because they love it ... and that brings a different feeling to the music. I was looking for the latter. That's why working on this album was so liberating."
Through the album which features only one guest, Keri Hilson, Anthony climbed up to No. 3 on Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. He additionally peaked at No. 12 on Hot 200.
